1. Jawahar Lal Nehru was not our first PM:
Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel spotted and elected for the elections after which he won the Prime Ministry elections fair and square but since Nehru didn’t want to play second in command to anyone and also that Gandhi had a soft spot for Nehru, Sardar Patel was pulled down.
2. The Indian Flag:
The national flag of India, by law, is to be made of khadi, a special type of hand-spun cloth of cotton or silk made popular by Mahatma Gandhi and the tri color represents different side like: Saffron represents courage and sacrifice, White represents truth, peace, and purity, Green represents prosperity.
3. The maker of the Indian Flag:
Many of the Indians have misconception that it was designed by the Mahatma Gandhi but the truth is, the flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya, an agriculturist and Indian freedom fighter.
4. Multi-Lingual Freedom Fighters:
One of the biggest freedom fighter of India known as Bhagat Singh was highly fluent in many different languages like French, Swedish, English, Arabic, Hindi and Punjabi and not just that, he just love to read books.
5. India – most peaceful country:
India has always acts like a peace maker as the legacy of India is very pure and humble. Certainly, the history speaks of it! India has never invaded any country in her last 1, 00,000 years of history.
6. Jawaharlal Nehru - Trend Setter:
This one is an absolute stunner! India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru was pictured in Vogue Magazine wearing his traditional coat and so his single breasted jacket became a Fashion trend in the West.
7. 'India’ – The Name:
One of the oldest dynasties in the world history is Indus valley civilization, the dynasty which runs along the sides of Indus River and from that background India got the official name. On the other hand, our country’s name in Sanskrit is “Bhartiya Ganarjya”
