The global research firm Ipsos has unveiled a list of ten most influential brands in the country. Google has been ranked at the top slot while five other IT companies have also featured in the list. There is only one financial banking brand that has figured in the top ten.
“The Most Influential Brands are larger than life. They enhance our lives, make it better. We connect with them emotionally and cannot imagine our lives without them — they are influential,” Parijat Chakraborty, Executive Director of Ipsos Public Affairs and Loyalty was quoted as saying by PTI.
The Ipsos Most Influential Brand Study evaluates over 100 brands across 21 countries. The study which involved 36,600 interviews has asked more than 1,000 Indians online to assess over 100 brands. This is for the second time Ipsos has assessed India’s Most Influential Brands.

According to the study, all brands that have made it to the top 10 list are those that consumer engages with on a daily basis. The Most Influential Brand list is made up consumers rating on quality, experience and value. In the top 20, Snapdeal, Apple, Dettol, Cadbury, SONY were rated in the list.
Interestingly, Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali and Mukesh Ambani’s controlled Reliance Jio made an impressive entry as both the companies did not figure in the previous year of the study.
