Goods and Services Tax, (GST) one of the hot trending topics is currently being debated across the country. The Narendra Modi-led government has completed all the arrangements and finally after sixteen years in the making, GST is all set be rolled out at the stroke of midnight at the circular Central Hall of Parliament.
GST is the single biggest tax reform in India since independence. It is also termed a potential game changer as the government believes it is founded on the concept of “one nation, one market, one tax.” In other words, GST will replace all Centre and states levy multiple taxes such as excise duty, central sales tax (CST), value added tax (VAT), entry tax among others.
However, social media ahead of GST launch came up with hilarious reactions and they will make you ROFL!!
The Congress and other opposition parties have decided to boycott the launch of the Good and Services Tax (GST) on June 30 midnight during a special session of Parliament. “We are deeply concerned about GST implementation. After #demonetisation, this unnecessary disastrous hurry is another epic blunder of the Centre,” West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee wrote on her official Facebook page.
Hope GST after its implementation has more benefits for consumers. Please like and share comments with us about #GST rollout!
