2017 is considered as the year of Indian cinema. We have already seen Baahubali 2: The Conclusion which changed the dynamics of Bollywood industry. Now big movies are coming up, from Salman Khan’s Tubelight to Saif Ali Khan’s Chef to Sridevi 300th film, we are eagerly waiting to watch these following movies that are set to hit theatres in the next few weeks.
Raabta is an upcoming romantic thriller film directed and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film is a remake of SS Rajamouli’s 2009 Magadheera. From the trailer, the story of the film looks similar with Magadheera but with better packaging. Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon and Jim Sarbh play the lead roles. Deepika Padukone will also be seen doing a cameo in the title song of the film. The film is set to hit theatres on Friday, on 9 June 2017.
2. Behen Hogi Teri
Behen Hogi Teri is a romantic comedy film, directed by Ajay K Pannalal starring Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan. The story revolves around the girl who lives next door and should be treated as a sister for boys residing there. Can she also be the girlfriend, watch this film on the big screen this week on Friday.
3. Guest Iin London
Once again Paresh Rawal will make to laugh about his dialogues in Guest Iin London written and directed by Ashwni Dhir. Besides Rawal, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Kharbanda and Tanvi Azmi will be seen as lead roles. Produced by Panorama Studios, the film is the sequel to 2010 film Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?. The comedy film is set to hit theatres on June 16, 2017.
Everyone is eager to watch Salman Khan’s next flick with director Kabir Khan, Tubelight, a war drama film. Set against the Indo-Sino war of 1962, Tubelight has become the talk of the town because the two brothers (Salman Khan and Sohail Khan) cast in the film. The film is an adaptation of 2015 film Little Boy and is set to release this Eid on 23 June 2017.
Raveena Tandon is back after a long time in the industry. Shab is a romance drama film directed by Onir and produced by Sanjay Suri. The film stars Arpita Chatterjee, Ashish Bisht,Simon Frenay, Gaurav Nanda and Areesz Ganddi. The film story revolves to explore the intense human relationships and is set to hit screens on June 30, 2017.
Mom is Sridevi’s 300th film and she believes she still feels 'like a newcomer.' The film produced by Boney Kapoor stars Akshaye Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in lead roles, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a special appearance. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film plot reveals a tale of how far a mother will go for the sake of her children. The film is scheduled for release on 7 July 2017.
7. Jagga Jasoos
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will be seen after a long break in musical adventure romantic comedy film Jagga Jasoos. The film written and directed by Anurag Basu, tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father and is set to release on July 14.
Shraddha Kapoor is back with a bang in the upcoming biographical crime film Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai directed by Apurva Lakhia. This is for the first time Shraddha will be portraying the character of a gangster. The film is based on the life of Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar. Haseena is set to hit screens on July 14, 2017.
Chef in the remake of Hollywood film “Chef”, starring Saif Ali Khan and Padampriya as lead roles. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Bandra West Pictures, it remains to be seen how Saif will be seen in his new avatar. Chef is scheduled to hit screens on 14 July 2017.
