India defeated Pakistan by 124 runs in a rain-curtailed match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in England. Fans were excited to watch the high-intensity match but Pakistan’s dismal performance disappointed them as it turned out to be a one-sided game. Pakistan was supposed to make a target of 320 runs which was reduced to 289 to be made off 41 overs.
Batting second, Pakistan lost wickets at regular intervals and got collapsed at 160 runs. Azhar Ali scored highest 50 runs off 65 balls. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan put up an opening partnership of 136 runs. Dhawan was dismissed at 68 runs while Rohit Sharma scored 91 runs, just 9 runs short of the century. Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh also played brilliant innings leading the overall scoreboard to 319/3.
